Patrice Murciano is a French visual artist who was born in 1969. He showed an interest in art during childhood days. His passion also developed as he grew up. At the age of six, he tried to paint comic characters and was attracted to fashion painting. It is unbelievable that at the age of twelve, he exhibited his first painting in a popular exhibition with other artists. Patrice was often inclined towards romantic subjects and the famous nude Photographer David Hamilton inspired him to a larger extent.
He just entered into these romantic subjects at the age of sixteen.
- Received medal for a young artist when he was 18 years old
- Particularly interested in painting women, nudes and fashion paintings
- His style of painting is named as “Courbisme”, inspired by Picasso’s Cubism and other artists like Pollock and Basquiat
Acrylic colors are the medium used for most of his paintings. He uses acrylic on canvas to create rainbow-inspired paintings. Check out some of his great works here.

His style of painting is based on women curves, body anatomy and colorful patterns which he created on canvas. Patrice often tried to make his female paintings beautiful with perfect lines and curves. He exhibited his style “Courbisme” for the first time in galleries in 2010.
