Steve Mills is a photorealistic artist who was born in Boston (1959). At childhood days, Mill showed greater interest in drawing. But he showed amazing skills in drawing and asked for a pencil instead of crayons to achieve better detailing. He was more interested in detailing was quite noticeable in his works. At the age of 11, he sold his first painting. He made money by drawing yachts on the docks of Vineyard and other places. This helped him to pay for his degree.

- Conducted first solo exhibition in 1983. It was great success and 33 originals were sold at the Granary Gallery.
- His paintings were in great demand and sold several works each year.
Mills painted landscapes at his early stages of art life. But later photo-realism became his interest and passion. The way he paint newspapers are quite popular in the art world. Some of his works took more than 500 hours to complete. His nautical or sea oil paintings are so realistic so that one can feel the waves before eyes.
