Leonardo Da Vinci was born on 15th April in Florence. He was born as the son of a peasant Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci. There is only little information regarding his early life. He got informal education in geometry, Latin and mathematics. His professional life starts from 1476 to 1513. During this period he showed amazing talent in painting, music, drawing and mathematics.

Leonardo did two famous commission works in 1480 named “St.Jerome in the wilderness” and”Virgin of the Rocks”. “The Last Supper” was probably his most famous painting which he did in 1490s. In the 16th century, he painted one portrait named “Mona Lisa” which is now the most treasured painting in the world.

Other than painting, he showed his skill in the field of drawing. He was a perfect draftsman who keeps detailed sketches in books. His famous drawings include human anatomy, head study, “Vitruvian Man” and horses. His sketches and studies about engineering is quite impressive. His observational skill can be easily understood from his sketches and notes. His drawings include studies of muscles and tendons. He was a good engineer who was capable of making machines of different types.
